Story Starter: Brollies

Those of you who follow us on Facebook will have seen a brollies picture like this already this week, but I think it has good potential as a story starter, too.

For once I’m going to keep it as short as that and leave it to you. That’s partly because I think I should sometimes, rather than filling up your head with my thoughts

It’s partly because it’s five to five on a Friday and the office is gradually emptying.

Part of the reason, too, is that we had our famed Strawberry Tea this morning, and I’ve been catching up with the daily routine ever since. And I still have a stack of stories I want to read before I quit for the week.

So. Brollies. Into every life a little rain must fall. Every cloud has a silver lining. Shelter from the storm.

Brollies blown inside out and discarded. Brollies left on busses – or wherever. Brollies poking people in the head. Brollies that match their owners – or don’t. Brollies that shield the carrier from something unexpected. A brolly inherited. A brolly as a parasol.

So many ideas could come from this, and look, so much for keeping it brief….

It’s over to you.
