Ahoy there! Look at this lovely design in our June 30 issue.
Nothing says summer more than a simple cotton top. This one has a nautical feel with contrasting stripes. A simple V neck completes the look.
The Technical Stuff
We have labelled this one easy. It is worked in stocking stitch with a slip-stitch row where the yarn is carried at the front to create a ridge for extra texture. The garment is worked in two pieces, with extra stitches being added to create the sleeves. The V neck is simple to work, just follow the instructions and remember to mark the middle stitch!
Instructions come for six sizes ranging from 81/86 cm (32/34 ins) to 132/137 cm (52/54 ins). You will need between 7 and 10 x 50-gram balls of Stylecraft Classique Cotton DK in White (3360) and 3 to 5 x 50-gram balls in Greek Blue (3095). It is a colour combination that shouts summer but there are lots of other shades available ranging from soft pastels to brighter hues if you prefer something else.
