We have a lovely textured top for you in this week’s issue of “The People’s Friend”.

Our textured top is ideal for warmer days, and features bobble and DK yarns to great effect, contrasting both texture and colour.

The yarns used are Stylecraft Peals in Midnight (1215), a gorgeous mini pom-pom yarn that gives a string of pearls effect with a soft feel and Stylecraft Highland Heathers DK in Heather (3753). To find out more about the yarns or to source your nearest stockists, visit www.stylecraft-yarns.co.uk.

Our top comes in six sizes ranging from 76/81 cm (30/32 ins) to 127/132 cm (50/52 ins). Actual size is around 16/11 cm (6/4 ins) bigger offering a comfortable fit. The short sleeves are perfect for this time of year.

We have graded our top as easy. It is worked in stocking-stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) with a 4-row garter stitch (every row knitted) contrast. We recommend carrying the main shade up the sides when working in the contrast shade. We also suggest you break off the contrast yarn when not using.

Both yarns are easy to care for and you can wash them at 30 deg C, ideal for everyday wear. In fact, why not select another set of shades and make two?
