We are having fun with colour in this week’s knitting preview, with a stunning ribbed sweater.

Yes, you will certainly catch the eye in our bright and colourful sweater which is worked in Rico Design Creative Melange DK, a lovely wool and acrylic variegated yarn that creates a splendid mix of colour.

The shade we have used is Multicolour (017) but there are many other shades in the range, too. To view the selection and to order direct, visit www.woolwarehouse.co.uk.

We have teamed it up with Rico Design Merino DK in the solid shade, Plum (17) for the ribs, cuffs and neckline.

The sweater is great value, with the cost of the yarn beginning at under £20 for the first two sizes.

We have graded this one as easy. The rib pattern worked on the front and back consists of a two-row repeat. The sleeves are worked in stocking-stitch.

Sizes range from 76/81 cm (30/32 ins) to 127/132 cm (50/52 ins). Actual size is approx. 12/7 cm (4½/2½ ins) larger with the rib fabric designed to stretch. If you prefer a looser fit, you may want to select a size up.

With so many colours incorporated into this top, it will soon prove to be an invaluable addition to your wardrobe.
