We have a tasty make for you this week…
Amigurumi, the Japanese craft of crocheting small stuffed toys, is a favourite with crafters. If you have never tried it before, why not have a go at making our seasonal strawberry cupcakes?
To make these cupcakes you will need cotton yarn in four shades plus a little black.
We used Stylecraft Naturals Organic Cotton in Flax (7187), Blush (7177), Gypsum (7168) and Leaf (7171). You only need a small amount of the last two. You will also need polyester stuffing.

Difficulty Level
We have graded these tasty treats as easy.
The stitches used include chain, double crochet and treble variations using a 3.5 mm crochet hook. They will work up quickly and add a fun touch to your tea table.
Our cupcakes came from the book, “Cute Crocheted Food” by Emma Varnam, published by GMC Publications. It is available online and from all good bookshops.
We are sure seasoned amigurumi crafters will love this design, and if you are new to the craft, then this is the ideal fun design for you to begin with.
