On any given weekend, the twin hills of Kinnoull and Deuchny above Perth will be bustling with walkers, cyclists and horses.
They’re a hotspot for folk from the Fair City, looking for a bit of fresh air. Both hills also offer outstanding views. West over the city towards the Highlands, and east up the Carse of Gowrie along the River Tay, on a clear day you gain some fine views for a not-too-long walk up from car park.
Off the back of Deuchny Hill, across the wee road, lies Binn Hill. Smaller than its sister hills, its views are every bit as charming, but you’ll likely not meet another soul if you venture on to its one circular path.
There’s still a chill to the breeze, even now we’re in April, and the leaves haven’t really come back to the trees yet. But with the sky blue and the ground dry, it’s a great time for a short walk.
Join Willie as he does just this around the tiny Perthshire gem.
