Spring is definitely in the air here in Dundee this week, and we were very excited to receive our copy of the new Explore England 2017 magazine – a sure sign that brighter, longer days are on the way. This wonderful publication is a guide to all that England has to offer, and is jam-packed with ideas for day trips and short breaks.
If you love England, the English countryside, English history and customs, you’ll love the latest issue. Although it’s packed with places to visit, this 100-page collection of fascinating articles and beautiful photographs can be enjoyed just as much from the comfort of your own armchair, whether you’re in England or not – something we can happily confirm!
Highlights of this issue include a lovely feature on walking the Hardy Way, the 220 mile long-distance path that winds its way through Dorset and Wiltshire. Explore England visits many of the places associated with the great Wessex novelist and poet, and there are stunning photographs of the glorious countryside to inspire you.
There’s also a feature on Southwold, one of our own favourite holiday destinations, and just as beautiful in winter as in summer. The charming resort on the Suffolk coast famously epitomises the traditional English seaside with its colourful beach huts and imposing lighthouse, and after reading all about it, we can’t wait to return for another visit!
As in previous years, there’s a useful region-by-region section providing information about places to go in each county, a useful diary of events throughout the year, and many other features on the men and women who left their mark on the English way of life.
Explore England is available to buy now from only £6.99 for UK delivery, and is also available for overseas delivery, making it an ideal gift for loved ones abroad.
