Editor’s Diary: Meetings Galore!

editors diary

My Editor’s Diary has been pretty busy over the past little while!

After the whirl of last week’s visit to Somerset for the “Friend” reader holiday, and the excitement of a night out at the PPA Scotland Awards, I needed a quiet weekend.

No such luck!

A trip to the cinema and celebrations for a family birthday were fun, but full on.

And so was the week that followed. The downside of being out of the office is that everyone wants to speak to you when you get back.

That’s why the theme of this week was meetings.

Planning strategy for next year . . . updating the team on new developments . . . Skype calls with colleagues in London . . . and that was just the first two days!

I also spent time with people from the PR agency that helps us promote our magazines, and with advertising colleagues from London and Aberdeen.

We also have so many great features in the pipeline that we needed TWO Features meetings this week to discuss them all!

By Friday I was in need of a break, and luckily, I have a short holiday coming up!

I’ll tell you all about it next time.
