Pets As Therapy: Honey’s A Scruffts Winner

Around 22,000 pedigree dogs attended Crufts 2019 to compete for the coveted “Best In Show” prize. But there’s also a fun contest for crossbreeds – Scruffts.

More than 1,200 marvellous mongrels enter, but only six can make it to the final.

Last year, these finalists included PAT dog Honey (above). Honey was rehomed by Dr Emma Williamson three years ago, and now helps the homeless in Lambeth, London.

“I am amazingly proud of Honey,” Emma says.

“As well as gaining recognition for therapy work with homeless people, being a Scruffts finalist showed everyone that Staffie-cross dogs have such a lovely nature.”

Meet this year’s winner and find out a bit more on the Crufts: Scruffts page!
