Cotswold is a busy RDA centre with 15 horses, and it takes over 100 volunteers, each giving up a few hours every week, to keep things running smoothly. Ever since the first few groups began springing up in the 1960s, RDA has always been powered by volunteers.
Today there are around 19,000 around the UK – giving 3.5 million hours of their time for free. Many remain committed to the charity for years, and it is not unusual for RDA to present long-service awards of 25, 30 and even 45 years. For everyone, RDA provides a fun and fulfilling way to make new friends, learn new skills and keep active.
