We have a real treat for patchwork fans this week: a Kaffe Fassett quilt.

Making A Quilt: How To
Patchwork and quilting fans are always delighted when renowned designer Kaffe Fassett brings out a new collection of quilts.
Our quilt is taken from his latest book, “Kaffe Fassett’s Quilts in Wales” published by Taunton Press.
All the quilts have been inspired by and photographed at Powis Castle in North Wales.
Our quilt, Blue Tiles, features fabrics from the Philip Jacobs’ fabric range, part of the Kaffe Fassett Collective. They are available from good craft shops and online. If you have difficulty finding them, www.ladysewandsew.co.uk can supply individual fabrics or a pack for this quilt.
The quilt is created with patches in a checkerboard pattern, alternating fussy cut fabrics with patches cut from a smaller tone-on-tone print.
There are seven fabrics used for the quilt top and another three for the binding and backing, plus wadding. In addition, you will need all the usual quilting tools and threads.
We have graded this as an intermediate design.
Many of us love a project to see us through the darker nights and this could be just the thing. A design that is beautiful to look at and practical, too.
