Knitting Preview: April 2, 2022 issue
This week’s knitting preview features a gilet from the April 2 issue.
Add a layer with a textured gilet.
Our gilet is perfect for wearing in or out of doors.
It features a ribbed design, worked over four rows. There are no tricky stitches so we have graded this as an easy design.
The gilet comes in seven sizes ranging from 76/81 cm (30/32 ins) to 137/142 cm (54/56 ins). The actual size is around 18/13 cm (7/5 ins) larger offering a comfortable fit which will allow you to wear the gilet over another layer, too.
The yarn we have used is Stylecraft ReCreate DK in shade Dijon (1947).
This new yarn consists entirely of recycled fibres and is a mix of polyester, wool and acrylic. It has a lovely soft texture and it can be washed in a washing machine and tumble dried, making it a very practical choice.
