Crochet Preview: July 8, 2023 Issue

We have a treat for crochet lovers this week, a tunic to make.

Our tunic features lace and picot stitches and comes in seven sizes.

Sizes range from 74/79 cm (29/31 ins) to 124/129 cm (49/51 ins). Actual size is around 12/7 cm (5/3 ins) bigger so we would recommend making your usual size.

The lace pattern consists of just one row repeated and the bodice is worked in trebles over a two-row pattern.

A picot edging completes the look.

We have chosen West Yorkshire Spinners Elements DK in the shade Fresh Water (1106). This beautiful yarn is created with a blend that includes Falkland Islands wool.

You can view the complete range; find your local stockist or order direct from www.wyspinners.com

We have graded this as an easy design. Stitches used include double crochet, half treble and treble. You work the lace section first from the top down and then join in the yarn at the top and the bodice section worked from there to the neckline.

The elbow-length sleeves add the finishing touch.

This top will work up quickly and easily see you through the seasons.

We hope it will have you reaching for your crochet hook!
