Knitting A V-Neck Sweater Preview: March 25, 2023

We’re knitting a V-neck sweater for you this week.

Difficulty: Intermediate

Knitting A V-Neck Sweater

Our V-neck sweater is comfortable, perfect for casual days and worked in a yarn that creates a unique finish every time it is used.

It is Rico Design Creative Chic-Unique Chunky in Blue (017). It comes in 200-g yarn cakes and is create in such a way that every ball is unique.

You can find it in your local Rico stockist or you can order direct from www.woolnstuff.co.uk.

The sweater is worked in one piece, beginning and ending at the cuffs of the sleeves.

You will need a long circular needle to accommodate all your stitches.

The sweater comes in five sizes ranging from 81/86 cm (32/34 ins) to 122/127 cm (48/50 ins). Actual size is around 18/13 cm (7/5 ins) bigger giving a comfortable, casual fit.

We have graded this as an intermediate design. There is nothing too tricky but you are handling a lot of stitches when working the main body and it is important to keep an accurate count when doing the neckline.

Although you use a circular needle, you will work in rows and not in the round.

Being in a chunky yarn, this sweater will knit up quickly and we are sure it will appeal to all ages.
