Digital Publishing
Here on the blog, we’ve been discussing ‘People’s Friend’ fiction appearing on digital platforms, recently.
At this stage, we’re still at a very early, initial test phase of publishing some ‘People’s Friend’ fiction digitally.
The purpose of this is to publicise the quality fiction available in the magazine.
Syndication
Syndication is where work is licensed to a third party for inclusion in its own publication.
Syndication is not the same as publishing digitally on a platform.
Publishing on a digital platform involves republishing, not syndicating, that work.
Contracts
If you’re on a Standard Contributor Contract with us, terms and conditions are laid out clearly at the start of the contract:
- You retain the copyright to your content
- You are granting us the rights to publish your content in any media format (e.g. on digital platforms) and in any country
- You are granting us the rights to reuse your content
No contractual terms and conditions have changed.
