How To Knit An Easy Sweater
Difficulty: Easy
We have a quick and easy sweater for you this week.
Our casual sweater is worked in King Cole Riot Chunky, a beautiful wool and acrylic mix showcasing multi-tonal shades.
We chose Hazelnut (3080) featuring autumnal shades of yellows, browns, oranges and blues. It is one of twenty shades available.
The sweater instructions come in six sizes ranging from 76/81 cm (30/32 ins) to 127/132 cm (50/52 ins). Actual size is around 23/16 cm (8/6 ins) bigger. This gives a comfortable fit and will allow you to wear something underneath.
The front and back consist of reverse stocking stitch with vertical twists with the sleeves in stocking stitch. The drop shoulders mean there is very little shaping.
By popular request, there are pockets, and the twist pattern also features on them.
We have graded this an easy design and it should knit up quickly, too.
We hope you like our pretty and practical sweater, designed with you in mind.
Many of you have contributed to our Love Darg and there is still time to make a dressing gown or poncho for Knit for Peace. If you need a reminder of what this wonderful charity does, or you need the patterns, please click here. Donations can be sent to:
