How To Knit A Cardigan
Difficulty: Intermediate
This week we’re bringing a splash of colour to your wardrobe as we show you how to knit a cardigan.
We have a beautiful textured cardigan for you, worked in a multi-tonal yarn.
The cardigan comes in eight sizes ranging from 81 cm (32 ins) to 117 cm (46 ins). Actual size is around 11 cm (4 ins) bigger so we would recommend you work your usual size.
The yarn used is the dramatic Rico Design Creative Chic-Unique DK in shade Bubblegum (004). Chic-Unique DK comes in 200-g yarn cakes and the way this yarn is made means that each ball is completely unique.
You can find out more about the yarn, view the range of shades available and order direct from www.blacksheepwools.com.
In addition to the yarn, you will need nine or ten buttons.
We have graded this as an Intermediate design. The lace panel is worked over 13 stitches and 20 rows and is repeated throughout. There are no difficult stitches but you do need to keep an accurate count.
Many of you have contributed to our Love Darg and there is still time to make a dressing gown or poncho for Knit for Peace. If you need a reminder of what this wonderful charity does, or you need the patterns, please click here. Donations can be sent to:
