Hold the front page, knitted bean bags are the hot new design piece!
As we begin to leave the glorious summer behind and head towards autumn, we do so with cosiness in mind. At the “Friend” offices we love nothing more than a cosy cup of tea and to curl up reading. You can imagine how delighted we were to read this article on the giant knitted bean bag, and how it was set to be the winter must have.
The giant bean bag is in the same category as giant knitted blankets, and the knitted bean bags are made for comfort and style too.
Giant knitted bean bag pattern
It didn’t take us long to find a knitting pattern we thought you would like, and this giant knitted bean bag pattern is perfect. We especially like the colour green they are showcasing it in; we like green at The People’s Friend.
The stitch is called the fisherman’s rib, and this pattern is knitted on 15mm needles with chunky yarn.
If you make this please let us know here at the office as we would be delighted to see our readers’ results.
Where to buy your chunky knit bean bag
If, like me, you are not very good at knitting, perhaps our Love Darg Campaign can point you in the right direction?
Next week we launch our campaign, Love Darg, in association with the Cats Protection League. Love Darg means a ‘Day’s work done for love’ and what better place to snuggle after a hard day’s work than on one of these?
If you’d rather buy, craft store Etsy has plenty of giant bean bag options, and is not too expensive when you consider the work that goes into each creation.
Every week we give you a sample preview of our knitting pattern – subscribe to our newsletter so you don’t miss it!
