As September draws near, John Stoa takes a look at the jobs needing done in the garden in next month. Have a read and prepare your plants for the colder weather.

In the greenhouse
Tomatoes are having a great year, so help them along by feeding continually and tying in the cordon stems to supports, especially as large bunches on several trusses can weigh down the plant.
Keep removing side shoots and lower leaves, and allow plenty of ventilation to keep disease at bay.
