The People's Friend Presents... Too Good To Last

Our audio reading of this tender story by Wendy Clarke will touch your heart, as The People’s Friend Presents… Too Good To Last.

Richard had never really felt he deserved such a wonderful, beautiful wife. She should have the best, yet he could no longer provide it…

Terry Wale reads this touching story. A Londoner by birth, Terry’s career as an actor, director and occasional playwright covers six decades, and includes visits to the USA, Canada and New Zealand. Having written a number of plays for television and radio, he went on to write his first stage play about the life and career of Judy Garland for his wife, Lesley Mackie, whose performance in the West End of London won her a Laurence Olivier Award in 1986. Terry has also recorded more than 200 audio books. He and Lesley now live in Perth where they first met as actors more than 40 years ago.
